Some clients come to iDesigns with a specific vision as to what their website should look and feel like … Lacey Jackson, aka Groovy Green Goddess, was one of those clients. For years, Lacey had a vision of bringing her runes, which she says are very dear to her heart, to her clients. She knew the best way to do that was with a website redesign.
Lacey wanted her new website to have a mystical feel to it while incorporating her runes and the green and purple colors from her logo. One idea in particular she had for the website header was having old, growth trees or moss. We took that design idea and, by photomanipulation, created a mystical forest scene filled with magical elements such as purple orbs, butterflies and a green fairy. The wooden navigation bar and icons add to the nature-like feel of the site.
A very special feature to GroovyGreenGoddess.com is the Runes Oracle. Site visitors can find guidance through the runes after asking a specific question to the Oracle. We were able to bring in Lacey’s actual runes into the Oracle for a personal touch.
At iDesigns, we believe that your website is an extension of your company, and your company identity should be consistent across all mediums. We call this web branding. For Lacey, we updated her custom Facebook Fan Page, Twitter profile and email newsletter with the new design.
On the development side, Lacey’s custom website is built in Word Press, which means she can easily update the pages herself with the content management system. As a bonus feature, we added a social media toolbar at the very bottom of her site that connects site visitors to all of Lacey’s and their social media accounts, meaning they can “like,” “share” and “tweet” her site, read her latest posts or see who else in the world (literally) has been to her site. It’s just another way that websites are becoming more like social media platforms and why consistent web branding is so important.
We invite you to check out GroovyGreenGoddess.com for yourself to get the full groovy experience, and, we would like to thank Lacey for allowing us to bring her vision to life on the web.
