1. Don’t sign up for every social site out there. Instead, determine which sites make the most sense for your business. Research what sites your competitors and target demographic use. 2. Formulate a plan of attack. Outline what you hope to achieve, how the program will impact your overall company goals, and how much time you have to devote to this type of marketing. Make sure your social media efforts are integrated with the other marketing and advertising programs your business is using.
3. Set up business goals and a way to measure these goals so you can track your success. Use Google Analytics, coupon codes and built-in tools like Facebook’s Insights to see how well your program is doing. Make sure to measure engagement by the number of comments, likes, and connections you achieve. The more engaged an audience you have, the more likely they are to purchase from you.
4. Make time for social media. Social media is not something you can set-up and walk away; you have to invest time in order to see rewards. It’s important to engage with your users on a regular basis and to be consistent with your interactions. The more you do this, the more likely you are to sell your products & services.

Our most recent website launch, KindredSoulzs.com, had a clear vision of what she wanted her website to be — clean, elegant, professional, but adding a special something so users will enjoy the site and want to come back. Bhavya wanted each page on her new website to intrigue the user and hit all five senses as you navigate through the site. To achieve this, we designed and animated five Flash banners for her website. With the site being built in the WordPress content management system, Bhavya can easily change out or rotate the banners on every page by selecting the page template we coded for her.

KindredSoulzs.com is a great example of a site that captures the essence of the company and still has a high level of professionalism and functionality. As web developers, we strive to make it easy for the user to navigate through your site to find the information they seek and purchase the products and services they want.

The main focus of the website header was the book’s cover art of Jordan’s Goddess. Our job was to incorporate this artwork into a website design keeping the starry sky and bringing a “magical” look and feel to the site.

The book’s setting covers many locations and periods (the main character travels through time), so we had to select one location for the site to “sit” in. We went with the idea of incorporating Atlantis and an underwater feel into the background of the site since that is one of the places mentioned in the book. As for the predominately blue color scheme – the vivid cerulean blue plays a major part in the series…but, you’ll have to buy the book to find out how!

One of our favorite parts of the website design and development process is the planning stage – how best to layout the website and all of the features needed to make the site function correctly and be user-friendly.

This custom WordPress website features a calendar of events so Debbie can promote her appearances and books signings, while her search engine-friendly blog allows her to post current news and interviews. The best part is that the site is built in the WordPress CMS, so Debbie can update her site from any computer with access to the web.

1. Invite

After logging into your fan page, go to your Wall and click on the Invite Friends hyperlink in the far right sidebar. This will open a window of all of your friends – the grayed-out friends mean they have already liked your page. Simply click on the checkboxes to recommend your fan page to your friends. They’ll be sent an alert that you recommend that they like your fan page.

2. Email

Admins of Pages with less than 5,000 fan can import their email contacts and invite them to connect with their Page. You can now upload a file containing your email contacts and Facebook will securely import them. You will then be able to suggest your Page to your contacts. To access the email importer, visit the “Tell your Fans” section in the Resources tab of your Page Manager.

3. Share

This option is a little more personal since you can type a message along with your link to recommend your fan page. After you’ve logged into your fan page, click the Share link that’s located in the lower left column of the page. You’ll see a pop-up window that lets you choose how and with whom you want to share. Pick one of the following options from the dropdown menu:

• On your own Wall: Choosing this option creates a post on your personal profile Wall. Control who can see your post by choosing an audience from the lock icon dropdown, and write an optional update in the open field.
• On a friend’s Wall: This option lets you post the content to a friend’s Wall. Type your friend’s name, and then an optional message in the open field.
• In a group: This option lets you post the content to a group you’re a member of. Type the group’s name, and then an optional message in the open field.
• In a private message: Use this option to share privately with an individual or small group of friends. Enter your friends’ names, and then an optional message in the open field.
