Our most recent website launch, KindredSoulzs.com, had a clear vision of what she wanted her website to be — clean, elegant, professional, but adding a special something so users will enjoy the site and want to come back. Bhavya wanted each page on her new website to intrigue the user and hit all five senses as you navigate through the site. To achieve this, we designed and animated five Flash banners for her website. With the site being built in the WordPress content management system, Bhavya can easily change out or rotate the banners on every page by selecting the page template we coded for her.

KindredSoulzs.com is a great example of a site that captures the essence of the company and still has a high level of professionalism and functionality. As web developers, we strive to make it easy for the user to navigate through your site to find the information they seek and purchase the products and services they want.

The main focus of the website header was the book’s cover art of Jordan’s Goddess. Our job was to incorporate this artwork into a website design keeping the starry sky and bringing a “magical” look and feel to the site.

The book’s setting covers many locations and periods (the main character travels through time), so we had to select one location for the site to “sit” in. We went with the idea of incorporating Atlantis and an underwater feel into the background of the site since that is one of the places mentioned in the book. As for the predominately blue color scheme – the vivid cerulean blue plays a major part in the series…but, you’ll have to buy the book to find out how!

One of our favorite parts of the website design and development process is the planning stage – how best to layout the website and all of the features needed to make the site function correctly and be user-friendly.

This custom WordPress website features a calendar of events so Debbie can promote her appearances and books signings, while her search engine-friendly blog allows her to post current news and interviews. The best part is that the site is built in the WordPress CMS, so Debbie can update her site from any computer with access to the web.

To complete the project, we designed a matching Twitter profile and Facebook fan page in Flash to continue The Eye of the Goddess branding and let the fans of the book connect with her online. Along with our start-up SEO package, Debbie is ready to promote her wonderful series of books!

Needless to say, we had “good & plenty” of “tasteful” inspiration for The Lollipop Shoppe’s website design!

The homepage, which is designed to look like the front window of a candy store, invites the user to browse the rest of the website and all of the great candies and services The Lollipop Shoppe has to offer.

As part of our full branding package, we carried the same fun and candy-filled design to The Lollipop Shoppe’s Flash fan page, Twitter profile and email newsletter.

When a client has such a clear direction for the website, it can be very helpful since they have a picture in their mind of how it should look and our job is to bring that to life on the web.

Not only did June’s cultural background and dream interpretation services inspire her logo and website design, but we also found inspiration in artwork she has in her home. One piece of art in particular showed poetry faded into a sky, which inspired us to create a star child faded into the night sky in the website header. The pattern of curving waves in the background suggests water beneath the sky, and also plays off the water pattern design on her poetry book cover.

One morning, June emailed me saying she had a dream about the website which was centered between a set of antlers with a feather hanging from one of the horns. That was just the piece we needed to complete the website design!

We enjoyed working with June and having her dream site come to life on the web! It is a very unique design that we put a lot of work into, and are pleased with the results.

The main focus of Luminere’s site is the beautiful Flash-animated header. Tracey wanted her new site to have an organic and nature-oriented feel, so we designed a custom header featuring a wooded nature scene. Visitors to Tracey’s spa will recognize her pet bunny that makes an appearance in the header as well!

The old site wasn’t very user-friendly, so we brought widget sections into the homepage with quick bits of information and also highlighted their custom built trailers with a nice photo slider. Since the beginning of 2011, Align Radio has been on a mission to connect spiritual activities from around the globe, which inspired us when we talked with them about the design concept for the website.

Probably one of the biggest projects we’ve taken on in the last year, Align Radio is more than just a website. It’s a place where we hope listeners will continue to gather to hear inspirational radio shows, purchase music and meditations and receive an energy boost just by visiting the site.

What’s great about the website is that it’s built in the WordPress content management system, so the owners of Align Radio can easily update host information, the show schedule and add more products for purchase in the online store.

Having already established her web presence, we didn’t want to stray too far from the brand she worked hard to build up. But, Erica was very interested in restyling her logo since it didn’t quite capture the look and feel she envisioned for her company. Once we had a talk with Erica about her ideas for the new site and where she wanted to take her web branding, we learned the meaning behind the original logo and really wanted that to be the focus of her new website.

As you can see from the before and after gallery below, Erica’s new website for Angel Hands Heal now has an identifiable and consistent brand, which we also brought into her MailChimp newsletter by creating a custom newsletter header. Erica’s custom design is built in the open source WordPress content management system, which means she can easily update the website herself.

Erica’s custom WordPress website also allows her to have a variety of features on the site such as a shopping cart with the PayPal payment gateway integrated, a calendar of events, contact form and a widget section with links to her newsletter sign-ups and social media profiles. iDesigns’ new custom WordPress shopping cart plugin allows all of those features and brings a clean, professional look to the online store. With our newest custom WordPress website design and development project, AquarianTherapy.com, the client wanted a clean, easy-to-use shopping cart function for her customers to purchase her Aqua and Mystic mist spritzers. A common complaint we hear from our clients is that they like to use the PayPal payment gateway, but feel that the PayPal button doesn’t bring the professionalism they want to exhibit with their e-commerce store.

What’s great about our new WordPress shopping cart is that the customer can add products to their shopping cart with custom made “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” buttons. The customer can also edit their cart and continue shopping at any time. They are only taken to PayPal after they select “Confirm Checkout” —that way, the majority of the transaction is taken place on your website with your company branding. iDesigns’ custom WordPress shopping cart plugin is also compatible with Authorize.net payment gateway, so the entire transaction is completed on your website.

You always hear how Flash is bad for search engine optimization (SEO). Well, that’s not the case with this new Flash XML website. The XML part of the site still allows it to be crawled by search engines which is a prime feature for SEO.

Another great feature to the new site is that it is built in a content management system (CMS). It’s our first Flash site to have a CMS built it. The admin panel is super clean and easy to navigate.

The CMS also allows Kasey to customize how she displays her work. The Galleries page has two options for displaying photos — slideshow or grid view — that Kasey can update with two clicks from the admin panel. The multi-upload function doesn’t mean it will take her hours to keep her site updated anymore, which is very important for a photographer.

The site also has a private viewing section that is password protected. Kasey can easily upload images from a photo shoot and have the client view them online through a private gallery.

Even though the site is built in a Flash CMS, the design is customizable. We designed a custom pink damask background and cute icons for each page on the LuLu website (see the adorable sessions icon above!). A collage of Kasey’s actual photography becomes the background for the inner web pages. This proves that a Flash website can capture the business owner’s personality and still have a great, easy-to-use functionality to it.
